Science Visions (SV) is a series of
lessons for kindergarten through sixth grade. These lessons are
based on the Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS). These lessons are
aligned with the California Content Standards and as the Common Core
Standards are put in place SV will feature lessons aligned with
these standards.
SV is being created through the efforts of teachers, administrators,
and experts in the areas of science and visual literacy.
An introduction to our web site
This web site features lesson plans that can be applied to grades K-6.
Each lesson is made of up of three image discussions and
extension activities. The image discussions follow the VTS
discussion model and have extension ideas for the teacher.
You will see the navigation bar to the left for the grade levels.
Begin with 'About Science Visions' then move to
lesson template, and finally, to the grade levels where you will
see individual lessons. We will have nine lessons per grade.
